Borderlands Fan Fest - Recap

See. I am getting better at this. Also, this is not a paid Post. This is after that paid post.

This last weekend (June 21, 2025, I was in LA for the Borderlands Fan Fest. I was invited by 2k/Borderlands and put on by OpenWorld. The event was a blast. I didn't meet enough people (due to me being me), but I really wanted to. Those that I did, we had great conversations.

I want to second that In-n-Out Burger was all Hype. Line out the door, long wait for the food for little payoff. There, I said it. Now I have to try Whataburger.

Five Guys is still top right now.

I was invited to the event because of my Dice.

Right place, right time, and my BL Dice TikToks hit the right FYP, and here we were. I made these based off the new Vault Hunters (l-r t-b): Rafa, Vex, Harlowe, and Amon.

I got to play the game (played as Rafa and Vex), and it is very much Borderlands. The game feels good. I like all the changes. Grenades on CD is awesome. It was fun to combo run, slide, jump-glide, slam, grapple and throw items, then shoot the whole way (aside from the actual grapple animation).
Personally, tried not to pay attention to story so there's no spoilers. But I did catch some "humor" in the dialog.
The one VH I wanted to play, wasn't available. I also like pet classes, so I mostly ran as Vex. Tried Rafa, but not as long.
I'm hyped for this one. Sept can't come soon enough.

I made friends, and saw a lot of Cosplay. All I encountered were some of really cool people. So much talent. Met a few Streamers and just enjoyed hanging out. I wished I had more time to meet more people.
